Steps to make Til ki chikki:
  1. First dry roast sesame seeds till slightly brown,remove and cool.now same vessel heat add in ghee/clarified butter with jaggery.when jaggery is melted add water.
  2. When jaggery turns brown,pour a tsp in cold water,check after few seconds,if its crunchy its done.now add in cardamom pwd and baking pwd.mix well
  3. Now lastly add in sesame seeds and mix well and remove on the parchment paper greased with ghee or butter.let it set few seconds and make marks.when set cut into desired shapes
  4. Adding water and baking pwd makes the chikki soft nor hard like sugar ones.keep in airtight container and enjoy these bars in winter.

This Tikki can also be made with Bengal Gram, peanuts, and other nuts. The key to getting a perfect chikki is to crystallize the jaggery with the right consistency.
