I make pulao differently each time and this is one of my favourite recipe. Aloo Soya Pulao is one of the most popular of recent trending meals in the world. It’s easy, it’s quick, it tastes yummy. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. They’re nice and they look wonderful. Aloo Soya Pulao is something which I’ve loved my entire life.

To begin with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have aloo soya pulao using 5 ingredients and 13 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Aloo Soya Pulao:
  1. Take 2 cup long grain basmati rice, washed, soaked in water for 1 hour,
  2. Get 1 aloo cut into 6 pcs, longitudinally, 1/2 cup soya chunks, soaked in boiled water for 1 hour,
  3. Get 4 tbsp desi ghee or mustard oil, whole garam masala… 1 tejpatta, 1 Bari ilaichi, 4 choti ilaichi, 4-5 laung, 6-7 kali mirch 1 pc of dalchini, Pinch of zeera,
  4. Make ready 1 onion thinly sliced, 1 tsp garlic paste, 1/2 tsp ginger paste, 1 tomato chopped finely, 1/2 tsp haldi powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp dhania powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala powder, salt to taste
  5. Get 4-5 green chilli, some chopped dhania patta,

While preparing the dough for rotis, I add a few tbsps of soya flour to the wheat flour and use soya chunks to prepare manchurian like chicken or vegetable manchurian. Another way, I incorporate soya in the diet, is by preparing vegetable pulao using soya chunks, mixed vegetables and fried bread cubes. In a saucepan, boil water and add soya chunks in it and boil.

Instructions to make Aloo Soya Pulao:
  1. Firstly strain the rice, keep aside.
  2. Strain soya chunks, keep it in the cold water, squeeze it to remove extra water. Keep aside.
  3. Take a pressure cooker, add oil, heat it.
  4. Add whole garam masala, sauté it for a while.
  5. Add onions, stir fry it till light brown. Add green chilli also.
  6. Now add ginger garlic paste, sauté it for a while. Add haldi, dhania & red chilli powder, add lil water also, stir fry it till oil has oozed out.
  7. Now add tomato & salt, stir fry it for a while. Lower the flame now, cover it with the lid, cook it till tomato becomes tender. Stir intermittently.
  8. Open the lid, increase the flame, add garam masala powder, give a stir.
  9. Now add veggies, stir fry it for a sec. Add rice & dhania patta, stir fry it until grains r separated.
  10. Now add water accordingly (3 cup or so), place the lid, give 1 whistle.
  11. Lower the flame now, cook it for 2-3 minutes.
  12. Switch off the flame, allow it to depressurise. Open the lid after a while.
  13. Take out in a serving dish, garnish it with onion rings.

Another way, I incorporate soya in the diet, is by preparing vegetable pulao using soya chunks, mixed vegetables and fried bread cubes. In a saucepan, boil water and add soya chunks in it and boil. Drain and keep aside to cool. Once cool, squeeze them to take off excess water and keep them separate in a plate/bowl. Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan, add ginger and garlic and saute till golden.
