  2. Make ready Salt
  3. Get Oil for cooking
  4. Make ready 3-4 cupfuls Vegetables of your choice
  5. Make ready Note: Today I used Daikon, Carrot, Celery, Cucumber and Curly Endive
  6. Get 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds
  7. Prepare 1/2 sheet Toasted Nori *torn into small pieces
  8. Prepare *Note: Instead of Nori, Fried Shallots is another nice topping
  9. Get Dressing
  10. Take 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  11. Get 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
  12. Prepare 1 teaspoon Sugar
  13. Prepare 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  14. Take 1/2 teaspoon grated Garlic

In a shallow dish combine cornmeal and sesame seeds. Carefully dip tofu slices in cornmeal mixture to lightly coat both sides. Dredge tofu in cornstarch, patting with fingers to help adhere. Heat oil in a large heavy-bottomed skillet over medium.

Instructions to make Fried Tofu Salad:
  1. Cut Firm Tofu to 1cm thin slices. Lightly season with Salt.
  2. Heat a generous amount Oil in a frying pan over medium low heat, cook Tofu slices until golden and crispy. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel and allow to cool.
  3. Cut all Vegetables into thin strips or slices, and place in a mixing bowl. Cut the fried Tofu slices into thin strips and add to the bowl. Add Sesame Seeds as well.
  4. Combine all the dressing ingredients in a small bowl. *Note: You may wish to add some Chilli.
  5. Pour the dressing over the salad, mix to combine, transfer to a serving plate. Add Toasted Nori on top and serve immediately.

Drain and slice tofu in half lengthwise to make two thinner slabs. Preheat non-stick skillet over medium heat and spray with non-stick spray.
