- Get 10 g dry yeast
- Take 1 tbsp sugar
- Get 600 ml lukewarm milk
- Make ready 1 kg plain white flour
- Get 80 g butter
- Get 2 tsp salt

- Blend the yeast and sugar with 125ml milk. Cover and leave for 15min
- Add the yeast mixture to the flour,the remaining milk,salt and butter and knead to a workable dough.
- Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for 1 hour
- Knead the dough again and divide into 6 portions
- Place pn a lightly floured surface and shape each portion into long strips. Lay 3 strips together and make into a plait. Repeat for the second plait
- Butter the baking sheet place the plaits on it, cover and leave to rise for 30minutes. Brush the plaits with egg yolk and sugar
- Bake at 180'c for 40minutes. Serve very fresh it's 😋😋👍
